Shinjinbukan Hombu Dojo

I've written a lot about the dojo and the training on other pages I thought I'd share a few more pictures of the Shinjinbukan Hombu over the past years.

Michiko sensei and me at the Renmei demonstration in 1992 (maybe 1991 don't recall exactly)

Onaga Yoshikatsu, sensei's son, this was taken either in 1989 or 1990. Yoshikatsu is now a Police Officer, and continues to train as his schedule permits. You can see Michiko sensei as a teenager in the background training with her father.

Miguel Angel Ramos, sensei and me, in the dojo in 1995 prior to the Pre-world tournament.

Iha Koe and me in the Dojo. Iha-san returned to active training and teaching when Onaga sensei opened the Shinjinbukan, he was the assistant instructor for the first few years I was at the Onaga dojo. Iha-san was Yuchoku sensei's brother-in-law and student. When Higa sensei passed away in 1994  Iha-san returned to the Kyudokan to try to keep things running. He is now the most senior member of the Kyudokan. I spent many hours with Iha-san learning Jion and Kukan-tsuki.

Cleaning the dojo after every class is paramount. We scrub, wipe and polish nearly every inch of the dojo after each class.
